Haley

Haley is the person who inadvertently saves Ross Pfeiffer's life. She comes crashing through the woods in a blue car, fleeing toward a portal she had prearranged with Athena to have opened. She bursts through branches and dead trees before being knocked unconscious — never seeing the color of the portal. Ross pulls her from the wreck, and moments later the portal appears. He carries her limp body through it, stepping into the parallel world that will define the rest of the saga. In Book III, Haley crash-lands back on Ail, where Tayzh is waiting. He has to break the news to her: Ross is dead.
