Mantso

Mantso is a close friend and ally to Tayzh. During the pursuit of Siv, he uses his unique Red Burst energy powers to propel himself in flight, keeping pace with Tayzh as they hunt down the antagonist. He is a steadfast figure across the second and third books, providing support through his energy manipulation. In Book III, his trajectory changes: he is identified as a viable new candidate for the Ascension ritual after Orion's first attempt — through Haley and Ross — collapsed back in Book I. From inside his prison, Orion accelerates Mantso's path. By the climax, Mantso is something far past the loyal ally his friends remember — a god-level opponent rising to ascend. The fight that closes the saga is between him and Phoebe, while Orion and his forced helpers watch through Clone Sunny's portals.
